NYC Graphics/The Urban Landscape
This project re-contextualizes the urban landscape to include the applied graphics of advertising and art. We have so completely covered our permanent, and temporary, architecture with graffiti and advertising that we can no longer discern the difference between what is built and what is applied. The new image of the city compresses the three-dimensional world into a two-dimensional panorama in which the images and object become one. (scanned from original C-Prints) 2007 -
Take the A Train
This project documents the 181st Street Station of the A Train. No one populates this view of the station so that we can more easily see the architecture and details for what they are and not for how they are used. (scanned from original Black and White prints) 2006 -
